Apple Macbook Pro Laptop was dropped and appears to no longer boot, only the Apple chimes are heard when powered on, no display. No visible damage occurred. Through diagnosis, the laptop would display to an external monitor, and would boot properly. All the apple keyboard combos were tried at bootup with none of them working.
iMac 27″ late 2013 hard drive replacement Computer would not boot. It would get stuck at the Apple screen with the progress bar almost full, never getting to the logon screen. Running Apple diagnostics on the hard drive were inconclusive, running diagnostics from a Ubuntu Live Disc showed a defective hard drive. Researching
Symptoms: Cosmetic issues along with slow performance. Diagnosis: Slow performance caused by some adware, and toolbars. Resolution: Performed tuneup, replaced keyboard and dvd drive bezel.
Symptoms: Laptop had water spilled on it. Diagnosis: Visual inspection showed some corrosion forming on motherboard. Hard drive test found a failing hard drive, probably NOT caused by water damage. Resolution: Disassembled laptop to remove all corrosion from motherboard, replaced hard drive.
