Symptoms: A screen pops up allegedly from the FBI, warning the user that illegal materials have been found on the computer. The user is instructed to purchase a Money Pak for a given amount as a fine.
Diagnosis: This is a well known “Ransomware” infection, all the allegations of illegal materials are false. This infection is fairly easy to remove with the proper tools.
Resolution: We were able to remove the malicious files without reloading the operating system.
